Artificial Intelligence (AI) is significantly impacting the tourism sector, greatly enhancing the customer experience in hospitality and travel. The integration of AI into business processes has led to various areas of improvement, primarily to the ability to generate itineraries quickly and efficiently, but also enhancing marketing, sales, website content and customer service. AI also provides predictive services, allowing businesses to anticipate future trends in terms of seasonality or booking peaks. Moreover, generative AI is designed to mimic human creativity, producing creative, imaginative and diverse outputs, optimizing costs and creating virtual worlds without the assistance of human engineers and developers.
The future of travel management will be shaped by artificial intelligence, and companies must prepare for the unexplored opportunities this change brings. To fully seize the opportunities offered by AI, industry professionals must be ready to recognize its potential, adapt to changes, and leverage the technologies in a responsible way. The ITS course “Artificial Intelligence Travel Design & Experience” aims to equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to become pioneers in the use of artificial intelligence in travel design, preparing them to drive innovation in one of the most exciting and rapidly evolving sectors in the world.

Professional profile

this role involves monitoring emerging trends in AI and the tourism sector, while also using predictive analysis to identify factors that will attract visitors. The professional will apply their creativity and design skills to offer high-value services in terms of meeting and storytelling about destinations, creating tailored products and ensuring a seamless experience while respecting the sustainability of the destination. Additionally, the Technician collaborates with software development teams to create and implement AI-based applications and platforms, such as travel apps, booking websites, traveler assistance chatbots and more.

Skills

Participants will be able to:

  • Design and implement customized solutions to enhance the travel experience for customers
  • Understand the ethical and sustainable challenges related to the use of AI in tourism and develop strategies to address them
  • Use predictive systems to plan tourism products and identify unexplored areas of territorial development opportunities
  • Initiate and enhance territorial animation processes, leveraging the potential of AI
  • Apply Project Cycle Management methodologies to destination development and to the management of various territorial tourism products
  • Conduct scenario analysis (what-if) through properly designed user interfaces
  • Explore enabling technologies in the tourism sector, such as Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT), and integrate these technologies into the travel experience using AI
  • Apply innovative methods of representing historical-cultural heritage and provide seamless user experiences, ensuring continuity between physical and virtual environments
  • Apply specialized IT technologies to support the acquisition, management, analysis and visualization of territorial or geographical data
  • Manage content through Content Management Systems
