Context

2023 was the year of definitive recovery for the tourism sector, with the return of international travelers and sales shares for Italian accommodation companies higher than in 2019, as many as 7 out of 10 companies said they closed the year with balance sheet profits.
In Puglia, with more than 16 million presences, the overall tourist balance stands at +8% of arrivals and +4% of presences with a significant growth in international tourism. The most significant increases are recorded in the non-hotel sector and in the tourist rental sector and this scenario makes the demand for professionals who can respond to the demand for raising the quality standards of the services offered even more urgent. The main objective of this ITS course is to offer the experience of an integrated plan of technical and managerial skills, strongly focused on the use of the most modern digital technologies, to improve the levels of management efficiency and increase the visibility of tourist facilities, in line with the objectives of a territory, such as Puglia, which is supporting a challenging and competitive tourism development process.

Professional profile

the ITS course aims to train a figure who collaborates in an innovative way in the management of tourism-accommodation companies, travel production and brokerage companies through the knowledge and interpretation of the different hospitality formulas offered and the different business models adopted. The professional knows how to enhance the authentic identity of the Italian way of life as declined on the regional territory and, at the same time, is able to participate in the production of an offer characterized by a high level of exclusivity and personalization, as required by the tourist demand. He/She is able to operate in the complex and varied world of property management by supporting the management, on behalf of the owners, of structures for holiday use, taking care of all the services necessary to enhance the properties by maximizing their returns. He/She is also able to govern digital strategies for the correct management of the tourism-accommodation business, collaborating with the management area for the coordination of the various company functions in the use of technologies, systems, digital and social tools.

Skills

Participants will be able to:

  • support the various business functions in the management of the service delivery processes of the tourist facility
  • carry out economic and financial management activities
  • take care of the administrative and bureaucratic aspects, ensuring compliance with the relevant legislation
  • identify the different business models of property management
  • plan and implement online communication strategies and use communication channels that make use of new languages and tools related to the most advanced 4.0 technologies
  • manage relationships with the various distribution and marketing channels and with property owners
  • team working and networking, also through the use of new communication technologies
  • respond to the needs of national and international demand with the use of advanced technologies
  • provide reception and customer relationship management activities and respond promptly to customer complaints or complaints
  • define and implement, sharing them with public and private actors in the area, marketing and promotion actions centered on an identity brand of the places
  • collect, analyze and functionally use big data and propose appropriate offers and services
  • monitor the conversion rates of communication campaigns, define social media strategies, define online CRM strategies, improve the performance of the company website
  • animate communication also by producing textual, graphic, image and video content, for the various marketing channels, in particular for social media and the web
  • enhance the territorial heritage from an entrepreneurial perspective and for the creation and marketing of innovative products and services to be distributed through the agency channel
  • define and coordinate a plan for the quality of the services offered.
