The course lasts 1800 hours in total, distributed over two years and divided as follows:
– 1080 hours dedicated to classroom laboratory teaching, case studies in the laboratory and/or in work contexts, seminar activities, educational and study visits, project work;
– 720 hours of internship activities in work contexts.
The daily timetable will be determined on the basis of the operational program and may vary from 5 to 8 hours.
Attendance is mandatory for at least 80% of the training activities, under penalty of exclusion from the final exam which will be held in accordance with the methods established by the Ministry of Education and Merit.
Upon successful completion of the program and passing the final evaluations, students will be awarded the Specialization Diploma in Applied Technologies, corresponding to EQF Level 5 (European Qualifications Framework).
The diploma is issued by the Ministry of Education and Merit, together with the Europass Diploma Supplement, and is valid throughout the national territory. It also qualifies as a valid title for public competitions.
Where applicable and depending on the specific course of study, students will also acquire the skills needed to obtain the following certifications:
- Certifications for the Use of Industry-Specific Software
- Certifications in English and a Second Foreign Language According to CEFR Levels
- Certifications Related to Workplace Safety
- HACCP Certification
- Advanced EIPASS, subject to examination (ITS acts as certifying body)
The ITS program is also valid for ITP teaching competitions starting from 2025 and for positions within public administration.
