What You Will Study
The Deep & Digital Tourism for Social Innovation and the Revival of Small Villages course provides a multidisciplinary foundation for understanding and shaping tourism development in minor territories. You will study:
- Analysis and monitoring of tourism trends and the reference territorial system
- Definition of marketing policies and actions for the tourism-cultural product
- Management of relationships with clients, suppliers, and local stakeholders
- Design, preparation, and marketing of tourism offers for experiential and community-based tourism in villages and smaller territories
Thanks to the Deep & Digital Tourism for Social Innovation and the Revival of Small Villages course, graduates will be equipped to work in a wide range of sectors focused on sustainable tourism and digital innovation in local contexts, such as:
- Web agencies in publishing, consulting, and digital communication
- Public and private bodies involved in enhancing territorial excellence
- Companies producing goods and services for the digitization, preservation, management, and promotion of cultural, artistic, and food and wine heritage
- DMOs, and tourism and territorial promotion bodies and consortia
The course lasts 1800 hours in total, distributed over two years and divided as follows:
– 1080 hours dedicated to classroom laboratory teaching, case studies in the laboratory and/or in work contexts, seminar activities, educational and study visits, project work;
– 720 hours of internship activities in work contexts.
The daily timetable will be determined on the basis of the operational program and may vary from 5 to 8 hours.
Attendance is mandatory for at least 80% of the training activities, under penalty of exclusion from the final exam which will be held in accordance with the methods established by the Ministry of Education and Merit.
At the end of the program, and upon successful completion of the final assessments, students will receive the Specialization Diploma in Applied Technologie (EQF Level 5).
The diploma is issued by the Italian Ministry of Education and comes with the Europass Diploma Supplement. It is valid nationwide and qualifies graduates to participate in public competitions.
Where applicable, and based on the course specialization, students will also acquire competencies to earn the following certifications:
- Certifications for the use of sector-specific software
- English and second foreign language certifications according to the CEFR levels
- Workplace safety certifications
- HACCP certification
- Advanced EIPASS certification (ITS acts as a certifying body)
The ITS program also qualifies for participation in ITP teaching competitions starting from 2025 and for roles in Public Administration.
