Planned location Bari – Biennium 2024-2026
Territorial declination: national figure ‘9.2.1 Higher technician for digitisation in the cultural and creative industry’.
Context
Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) are defined as companies that are mainly or exclusively engaged in the conception, creation, production, development, dissemination, conservation, research and valorisation or management of cultural products, cultural heritage and related innovation processes. Also associated with these are the creative driven, i.e. activities that, although not part of the supply chain, employ cultural and creative skills to enhance the value of their products (graphic designers or illustrators, designers, architects, communicators, photographers, video game developers, storytellers, video makers, artists, event organisers).
In Italy, the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) sector is one of the fastest-growing economic sectors, generating an added value of EUR 95.5 billion in 2022. In December 2023 a register of cultural and creative enterprises of national interest was established at the Ministry of Culture. This system expresses the constant need for highly qualified figures and the ITS ‘Design and Innovative Technology for Art and Culture’ course, in response to the growing demand for new specialisations, intends to offer an up-to-date overview of the cultural and creative industry sector and to provide the indispensable tools for exercising the ‘profession’ of a cultural entrepreneur, as well as to transmit the skills for the conception and realisation of cultural projects, with the aim of combining cultural and digital design and planning skills with economic and managerial skills.
