The highly specialized program in Luxury Experience & Hospitality Management aims to train highly qualified professionals capable of creating and promoting a quality, exclusive, and personalized tourism offer, contributing to the competitive growth of the Italian tourism system in the high-end segment.
Context
The Luxury Experience & Hospitality Management program responds to the increasing demand for high-end and exclusive travel. High-end tourism continues to be a key segment of the Italian tourism industry. The luxury segment recorded superior performance in 2024 compared to the rest of the sector, driven by international clients with high spending capacity. In this context, Puglia has a strong positioning in the luxury market, supported by the growth of the non-hotel sector, which has shown sustained recovery.

The professional trained in Luxury Experience & Hospitality Management is equipped to meet the increasing demand for higher quality standards. This profile operates with an innovative approach in the management of hospitality structures, integrating managerial, technological, and relational skills. They are capable of enhancing local specificities and contributing to the creation and promotion of a tourism offer that is both exclusive and personalized. They coordinate front and back-office services, plan events and communication activities, oversee administrative and digital processes. They can also work in the non-hotel sector to ensure high quality standards.

What you will study
The curriculum of the Luxury Experience & Hospitality Management program is focused on providing in-depth understanding and practical knowledge in the following key areas:
- Monitoring of tourism trends and the relevant territorial system
- Organization, management, and supervision of departments/services in tourist and hospitality structures
- Definition of policies and marketing actions for the tourism-cultural product
- Management of relationships with clients, suppliers and local stakeholders
Graduates of the Luxury Experience & Hospitality Management program can pursue careers in:
- Hotel and non-hotel accommodation businesses
- Convention bureaus and agencies offering congress, wedding, and event & communication services
- Travel agencies and tour operators, and companies providing tourist information, booking, and hospitality services
- DMOs and tourism promotion consortia
The program includes a total of 1800 hours over two academic years, distributed as follows:
- 1080 hours of classroom-based lab activities, case studies in labs and/or professional settings, seminars, field visits, and project work
- 720 hours of internship in professional environments
The daily schedule is determined by the operational program and ranges from 5 to 8 hours.
Attendance is mandatory for at least 80% of all activities. Failing to meet this requirement results in exclusion from the final examination, which will be held according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Merit.
Upon successful completion of the program and passing the final evaluations, students will be awarded the Specialization Diploma in Applied Technologies, corresponding to EQF Level 5 (European Qualifications Framework).
The diploma is issued by the Ministry of Education and Merit, together with the Europass Diploma Supplement, and is valid nationwide. It is also recognized as a qualification for access to public competitions.
Where applicable and in relation to the specific course of study, students will also acquire the skills needed to sit for the following certifications:
- Certifications for the use of industry-specific software
- English and second foreign language certifications according to CEFR levels
- Workplace safety certifications
- HACCP certification
- Advanced EIPASS, subject to exam (ITS acts as certifying body)
The ITS program is also valid for ITP teaching competitions starting from 2025 and for positions within public administration.
