Taranto, awarded Best Cruise Destination in the Mediterranean in 2022, is reinforcing its status as a reference point in the cruise sector, with 124,000 passengers expected in 2025 and partnerships with major cruise companies.

What You Will Study
By enrolling in the Multimedia Technician on Cruise Ships course, you will study the technological and creative components of event production at sea. Specifically, you will focus on:
- Lighting and video planning
- Structuring and assembling the sound system
- Management and broadcasting of audio-video recordings
- Technical aspects of traditional and video editing
- Event planning and organization
- Organization of service networks required for event execution
Thanks to the training in Multimedia Technician on Cruise Ships, you will be qualified to work in a wide range of entertainment and media contexts, including:
- Cruise line operators
- Resorts with entertainment activities (holiday villages)
- Theaters and concert halls, radio and TV stations, online streaming platforms
- Audiovisual and post-production studios, music production studios
- Podcast, online video, and webinar production studios
- 1080 hours dedicated to classroom laboratory teaching, laboratory case studies and/or work placements, seminars, educational and study visits, project work;
- 720 hours of internship activities in work contexts
The daily schedule will be determined based on the operational program and may vary from 5 to 8 hours. Attendance is mandatory for at least 80% of training activities, under penalty of exclusion from the final exam which will be held in accordance with the procedures established by the Ministry of Education and Merit.
Upon completion of the program, and following the successful passing of final exams and assessments, students will be awarded a Diploma of Specialization in Applied Technologies, EQF Level 5 (European Qualifications Framework).
The diploma is issued by the Italian Ministry of Education and Merit, along with the Europass Diploma Supplement, is valid throughout Italy, and provides access to public competitions.
Subject to meeting the requirements and in relation to the specific study track, students will also gain the necessary skills to undertake exams for the following certifications:
- Certifications for the use of specific industry software
- English and a second foreign language certifications (based on CEFR levels)
- Workplace safety certifications
- HACCP certification
- Advanced EIPASS certification, upon successful exam (ITS acts as certifying body)
The ITS program is also valid for ITP (Insegnanti Tecnico Pratici) public teaching competitions from 2025 onward and within the public administration.
ITS courses are entirely funded by the Ministry of Education and Merit. ITS students are included in the ADISU Puglia right to study system and can take advantage of numerous benefits and advantages (scholarships, expense reimbursements, etc.) regulated by ADISU for the relevant academic year.
